Once the water level in the container reaches the same level as the diverter, the water spills over into the middle of the diverter and continues down the downspout. IF you have a lot of debris coming down that might clog the diverter, we suggest you install an Aquabarrel downspout filter above it. Note: Containers, Downspouts and Downspout Filters are NOT included with this Kit. This diverter will ONLY work with 3 and 4 inch ROUND downpipe
- One kit fits both 3 and 4 inch Round Downspouts
- Install without disassembling your downspout - just drill one hole into the downspout
- CAUTION: if you have deep ridges in your downpipe you may experience leakage around the diverter.
- Easily switch between seasons with the winter cover plate
